I purchased a D16z6 and it had an S20 transmission with it.

Is it the equivalent to the D16y8 transmission in USDM???

It revs at 3000 rpm at 60 mph if that helps, thanks in advance

Thats a stock Z6 tranny. I think the gearing is the same as the Y8, but the Y8 has better shift forks. Besides that they are about the same.
