Safe assumption?

Ok, so I have a motor that was originally claimed to be out of a 1998 integra gs...but when I checked out the ECU, it's an obd1 ecu.

Now, if it is out of a 98, there woudl have had to be a conversion done...how could I verify this?

Also, would it be safe for me to assume that I could just drop this into an obd1 civic because it ran in my 94 integra ? (obviously not physically just drop into the car, but in terms of the ecu)

If you want to know what year the motor is, look above the exhaust ports, on the left side. There are a series of circles there, the one furthest left is the last two of the year.
