    It's not "that" bad. =)

    However, it does not let you use all the features of a BR and HD disc. check the reviews out it will talk about it there.

    Screw buying a multi reader disc player, just use on-demand or netflix for now, once one of the two formats goes down, then jump on the bandwagon.

    it is "that" bad when i could buy a ps3 AND an xbox 360 for the same price.

    the price isn't that bad actually.

    JUST blue ray players of quality are 1 grand right now

    there was an open box at Best Buy... 949.00 i almost jumped on it. But then i though, i already have hddvd with the 360. So i passed on it. My dad is looking at it today. Ill let you know if he gets it.

    people said the same thing when cd players first came out. give it about 10 years and pay about $100 for one...lol

    Exactamundo. My dad bought one of the first Panasonic or Philips (don't remember) CD players when they first came out, paid something crazy like $600, you can get em for under $50 now.
