Sanding questions

so i need to re-primer my nissan. it is already primered, but it's fading and it's spotty.

A) what grit should i use
B) can i sand plastic tail lights? what would I use?

are you painting the middle part in the middle of the taillights. scuff it with the grey scotch brite. itll give they paint a good surface to stick to with out leaving scratch marks. if your going to re primer the whole car scuff that with the red scotch. you should be good.

i wouldnt sand the tails, i would polish them...
