His hand is like that because he's saying something. He's BLIND, so he has to use sign language to communicate.

    Duh, moron.

Back story would be good and i second the motion that standing behind a chain link fence at a race while being visualy impaired would not be my cup of tea

My guess is that it's supposed to be some inspirational picture that even though the guy can't see the race, he can still hear the roar of the engines, squeal of the tires, cheers of the crowd... make the best of what you have, etc.

He's not missing much though, those are the best parts!

The best part is watching a Group3's suspension doing a dance through a turn.

But thats not really inspiring by itself. Even if he used to be a racer and lost his sight in a crash but still came back to the track just to be around it I wouldn't be "inspired." To me he's just another automotive enthusiast like millions of others. He just happens to also be disabled. Possibly more so if nobody informs him of the dangers of standing right next to that fence. Who doesn't like hearing the sounds of racing? No big deal...

Clearly, none of you have ever been around blind people before. It is very common for blind people to look down and out like that... They are tilting their ear -- ya know, the sense that actually still works -- towards the objective.

And if you never saw yourself, or anyone else hold themselves or their hand motions, how do you know that no one else doesn't do that either?
