Okay, I have a 98 Acura Cl with the f23 manual transmission..... I've been wanting to do a f20b swap since the motor itself is relatively cheap. My only hesitation is my car HAS to pass NC state emissions inspection. Have to hook the computer to the cars DLC and it has to verify the I/m monitors have been set/function properly. I'd I invest the money to buy the engine what should I expect to do in order to be legal on the road. I'm not looking to make my car a race car.... I just want a little better bang from the engine/performance. Is there an OBD2 ecu that has NO Immobilizer system that I can swap in and get it legal? Any info would be helpful.
