I have a long winter planned, and am looking to come out burning in the spring. CRX is going to get an overhaul. I was considering shaving the handles and have seen a few kits out there. I have called all the shops in the area and can't get a feeling to who is full of it and who is legit. Everyone in this area runs from imports, price of living in central Illinois. Has anyone out there completed the transformation or seen it done? I can't get a solid answer on force either, 15lb or 35lb.
:(

i used 35lb which is overkill 15 would be more than enough
and as for shaving it takes like two hours from start to finish
i will post a how to for you if you would like

the bigger the better for solenoids, plus you wont have to worry about burnouts, as far a shop to put it in i cant help.

i would only get one kit and that is auto-loc. they have the best shaved handle kits

i think i posted a thread a couple months ago on how i did it, i used an amenity kit off ebay, no problems yet, that fuckin backup switch is a bitch to install. I'll look and see if i can find it and if its helpful.
