Shaving molding

    Is this very hard, I popped off my side molding today, have about 6 months experience with bondo/fiberglass. Any tips would be much appreciated. 96 civic 2dr.

    well the proper way is to weld up the holes, then skim with bondo

    so sand, weld holes shut, bondo as normal? Then would you lay fiberglass over the bondo just to be safe or no?

    naa no need for fiber glass just weld then bondo

    You'll want to cut little biddy squares of metal that fit into the holes, then tack weld them a little bit at a time (to prevent over heating and warping the surrounding metal). Done well, once the metal is all ground down and sanded out, you won't need bondo.
