Well, good news! I went in to talk to the owner of a local garage, called Rally Parts and Garage. (I wish he would of named it Rally Auto Sports) But I cant run everything. I start tomorrow, Friday August 29, 2008. My pay is going to be 40% of the labor bill. no hourly. thats the only down part. But other than that, its pretty cool. they got alot of room. no little cramp garage that only fits 2 cars at a time. Ill get pics as soon as i can. Plus if I work things out right. Might get a chance on a rainy day when nothing is available to be done and get to put my car up on a hydro lift and get some stuff done ;)

Oh another thing. I might be trading the H symbol in, for a Nissan. I ve been doing some searching and looking. I want another 240sx Fast back. I miss my old one. :(

At one time I owned a 91' Nissan 240sx Fastback. loved it. The way the car felt and everything. I sold it though, engine blew, i didnt have the knowledge or the money to even fix it. Now im getting to where Im not as stupid as i used to be and learning to stop ruining cars. A 240 with a Ka24e, inline 4 DOHC, comes with 155 hp from factory. Even though I know im not going to keep that engine in it forever if i do I do get a hold of one. I just love the 240's, and they still dont get bad gas mileage.

Your just prepared for when shit starts getting all Mad Max style, you dont see any Hondas in that movie do you? Your car probably made a cameo appearance in one of those movies.:D

If you get one DONT SR swap it, the SR20DET is the most over-rated motor, right next to the B-series, turbo the KA and youll be much happier.

the B-series are excellent engines as long as you look at them realistically

Ok, maybe I said that wrong, everyone thinks the B-series is the best Honda motor out there, it is a great motor, but all the others are just as good. The SR is the motor that everyone thinks they have to have in their 240. Ive talked to a couple of respectable Nissan builders while my friend was getting an SR put in his 240, the guy told me for how much money he was spending on the SR swap and labor he could have had a nasty KA built. Understand what I was getting at a little better now?

Oh i understand completely what your saying Ef. I'm just looking for a stock 240, with the A/c still working and stock rims. dont want it lowered or messed with in any major way. Sure if I run across a good running SR with the tranny, for 500. then of course im going to pick it up and start looking at the swap. I havent decided the way im going to build it. I might just lower it, short shifter, rims, clean paint, HID's with the sleepy eye mod. and a lip. I can live happily just with that.

First day of work today. Its an awsome shop. Its a family ran buisness, the dad is always gone, the older son is eager to learn and wants to fix up cars, and the youngest has the same passion, but instead sits and plays halo online all day. I was teaching my boss tricks and how to this and that. ... kinda odd. oh. heres a fun fact... Their Russian mixed with cuban.... yah.. sit there and imagine that accent. lol

ive had my share of nissans and i can say from experience the vq35 is a sweet motor.... put one in your 240 and then youll really have something cool. look into it man, finding a used drivetrain from a 350z or g35 isnt that hard and they arent all that expensive. and they definitely fit in the 240, its been done.

it is a dream of mine one day to do this swap myself, maybe thats why im telling you to do it! the nissan guys make some really impressive power with vq35s and they are a very lightweight drivetrain.

uh oh. Got a nissan guy from plam beach here. I'll look into it. I was going to put in a link for a 92 Skyline GT-R i found for sale in the US. Only problem with it. Interior needs to be put back together and needs a engine and transmission. 4,500.00 located in Cali somewhere.

Ive also found a 240 for sale for 1,300.00. kid put rims on it, thats it. but i know he drove it like he stole it. So. nah to that one. Im just going to save my money, keep an eye out. and when one I like finally comes to view. I'll pick her up.

Ever since Tokyo Drift came out the RWDs went up in price cause every rice driver thats never been behind the wheel wants to drift, that also had an effect on the insurance rate for those cars too.:(

I know. i hate it too. unless you know someone that has one and is ready to go. Eveyone is just going to try to screw you out of your money. I got lucky with my first 240. Traded it for a rusted out crx. He took the crx just for the harness and engine. so he could swap his auto 91 civic dx, to a manual with the multi injectors

But after pulling the head, and found that The girl that owned it ran the car hot more than once. the head had a valve job done once. (found that tag on the head) then she ran it hot a again and melted a valve. so. I didnt want to chance it with a warped block surface. I forgot to keep taking pics later. but i got away with a Misu eclipse key, gas door, Hb glove box, A/c vent flaps and some other odds and ends stuff.
