HOw do you get the spring loaded pin out of the shift linkage to disconnect it from the tranny. The car is a 1993 honda civic ex.

use a bolt with a flat end that just fits in the hole and smack it out with a hammer

werd, they don't call it the "bitch pin" for nothing.
make sure you use something prefct in size- too big wont bang it out, too small will crush it (its very soft metal). tap lightly...

Are you removing the motor from the car? If so, are you using a lift? You can undo the bolt that holds the torque rod (one that bolts to the outside of the tranny), and take it out with the motor, then you have more room to remove the bitch pin.

Yup, just wack away but don't get crazy with it. Like Pissed said, use something that will size up to the pin.
