As well as swapping in a b16 into my ex civic, I am also converting it to manual. After feeling the short shifter in the s2000 at the autoshow, I fell in love with how that feels. I obviously can't afford a s2000 so the alternative is to find a short shifter that feels as sexy as that one did lol. Anyone able to compare the shifter with a aftermarket one?

    Thanks

i have a skunk2 dual bend short shifter in my civic and as soon as ii put it in i felt like i was driving a brand new car but i also found out that b&m makes the shortest shifter that you can get alot shorter than the one i bought.

the s2k is rwd. the shifter goes right into the tranny instead of having linkage. you aren't going to be able to replicate the feeling because of the drivetrain differences.

all though you could do a short shift and get some polyurethane bushings for your shift linkage
i have some and it feels great little to no play in the shifter.
