Here is a little response I put together for "those times when someone argues that Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11". I expect you to read all of this. There are links to over 1000 articles here. Any link you find to a decidedly "Conservative" website have within them the links to the Mainstream Media report. Nothing here is based on conjecture, nothing can be argued as "Total lies", because it's all reported by official news sources that can be recounted at any time.

Perhaps, even moreso, its the idea that the basic idea of religion has kept the world in check for thousands of years. Sure, extremist have used religion as a cause to conflict, but was it truly the religion that caused the conflict. Were the crusades about christianity or were they about wealth and power? I think the answer here is quite simple. As you said, do the muslim jihadist use religion as a cause or rather use religion as a front and a means to start conflict to execute their ulterior motives?
Conflicts have never and will never be about religion, at the heart of the conflict, rather they're about the inherent evil which is human nature.
Personally, I feel that religion was created as a means to scare the uneducated masses into behaving in a civilized manner. I think religion has done an excellent job at executing this task. If it were not for religion, everything generally considered as evil would be common practice. Religion is the pillar of society and one of the elements analyzed by historians when determining if peoples meet the criteria known as a civilization.
Basically, I feel you should be bitch slapped for being just as extreme as those others that you title "extremist" - you're just on the other end of the spectrum.

Except that Iraq wasn't very good practice, as I believe they just let us run them over.. They had a rediculously weak military that laid down.
Personally, I believe if the whole world decieded to kick our ass, we would get our asses kicked. China for one, is not a country to mess with. And as I understand it, China loves North Korea, who HATES Israel.. And is currently playing with its toy rockets. So, if NK jumps into the fight with lebanon, we will pwn NK, (who will not just lay down like Iraq, it will be quite the battle) China will be very upset with us. They have enough of our currency on hand that if they released it all on the world at once, the US dollar would'nt be worth but a couple of pennies. Making US $$ worthless would be devastating in a world war.
But China loves our $$, and loves trading with the US.. So it will tread lightly. That and they told NK to stand down, and NK basically told China to shove it. So perhaps China will turn a blind eye.
