Should you let VTEC engage in 1st gear? my VTEC engage at 5300RPM, and in first gear at that RPM the motor seems to not have any power left to give...or it's just a illusion?
So should i shift before 5300RPM in 1st gear and then in 2nd gear i shift pass the VTEC? and etc..for 3rd, 4th...
    BTW it's a 1997 Prelude

at 5300 you just passed your peak Tq (5250) your peak HP isnt untill 7000

it should still be pulling hard
but give it a shot both ways and see what works better
