USDM to the bone
I have taken off my IACV on my HF probably 2 or 3 times to clean it, and I still can't get it to function correctly for more than a day or two. I think that it's killing my gas mileage, so I would really like to get it to funcion correctly.

I cleaned it by spraying it with carb cleaner and blowing it out with compressed air. I don't know if there is a better cleaning method

I do have a 89 Si IACV. It looks a little different, but will this work on mine?

Thanks

The shape and the mounting lines up, it's just that the holes for the intake air are different. The Si ones are much smaller and they have screens over them.

ok, tried that, still doesn't work. Went to the junkyard and pulled a third one, and that one doesn't work either.

I'm wondering, could it be something besides a IACV?

Here's what it does.
-Revs between 1000 and 1250 rpm
-Will stop if the IACV or TPS is unplugged
-Other than the idle everything acts normal...
