silly question, but need help

does anyone know if the radio bezel/ heater controls out of a 99 civic will work in a 96 with out cutting and hacking wires and harnesses or is there some customizing needed?

well i've spent some time looking this up on the internet and i think its gonna be hard seeing that the 96 heater controls have the cable where as the 99 is electronic. plan be is to relocate my heater contols down by the cup holders and customize my single din in to a double din to fit a navi screen... has any one out there done this and if so do you have pics and/or advice?

it will fit its the same size but the 99-00 is electronic thats the only problem
