so you are goin to cut your car in half just to sit on the wrong side...

pointless

no i have my daily driver hf. and i have a rolling shell that i want to do some custom shit too.why not make an SiR? not many ppl have them. i cant afford to import one.. might as well make my own.

to each his own dont know why ppl have to hate. its what i want, ill have the money to do it soon, no one else will have it here(north texas). I love jdm and this is about as jdm as i can go.

to do this conversion means a huge sfty risk to cut a unibody car in half and weld it back up it a huge safty concern and danger

im not gonna cut it in half... im going to swap out fire walls....add SiR mounts in correct position. it will be safer than factory bc its a full weld ...not spots.

toy need to cut the fire wall out which supports the entire front end and the rear end of the car

Swapping the firewall is the preffered method. You aren't compromising structural integrity like on a chassis cut. A few tack welds, and some filler, shit you can make it stronger than it was before if you want to.

exactly...the actual integrity of the car comes from the lower frame itself right?

The integrity comes from the whole thing, but the firewall is the best way with the least affect. My friend has done a few of these conversion, he hates them, they are a pain in the butt.

I can see it now..

"car breaks in half on highway in texas"

thjen his post on here

I did the most JDM thing there was to do, now it fell apart arount me and I did it cause I wanted too"

SpodaB1, this section "Ice and Rice" was formed so that people that had interest outside of the performance scope (the boards main concern) could have some questions answered without pissing off the tech forums. Could you kindly stop pissing on peoples questions here? If you don't like it, don't come in this forum, that's why it is seperate.
