I have a rust spot on the right rear quarter thats probably about 4" in diameter. It looks to be heavily rusted, not entirely sure if its all the way through yet, but if its not its very close. I bought some rust dissolving jelly but would like to know what to do once the rust is no more. I've never done bodywork before, at least not rust.

cut patch work paint, or for a temp fix just add the jelly let it sit, then knock down the surface crust and repeat, then bondo, and paint
