I haven't been on here since December or early January, something like that. I see B got a Hyundai? WTF happened there? Anything else new happen? Has anyone heard from the other Brian who was in jail last time I heard? Last i remember Injen was stalking/chasing off the females on the board, or something like that.

As for me, I hate it here in Central Cali. It's a beautiful place, nice to get away from the cities, but the people are ridiculous. It's retiree heaven here. They all drive 45-50 in the fast lane, and there's only two lanes each way on the highway here. It takes 30 minutes to go the 18 miles to school because fuckin grandpa up in front of the line of cars feels like he has to play traffic cop and then flip people off and slow down more when they honk at him. When you finally pass him, he flashes his lights at you, like he's got fucking laser beams in his headlights. I really don't get it. Our apt is cool, right across from the beach pretty much, but there's an off road area here, so we get all the dipshits with their junk ass "baja" trucks that come right past our place all day and night during the summer. The surf sucks here, bad. Either it's 1-2 foot mushballs or 10+ feet, no clean offshore chest high dawn patrol or evening sessions like in San Diego.

The plus side is that I've picked up photography more seriously. My kitchen is now officially half darkroom, full darkroom after dark. I got a booth at the local farmer's market to sell prints. Last week was my first week, and I only sold seven, but I already covered my initial costs to start everything, so now I just have to cover the cost of goods sold and my weekely 10% fee.

So what else is new here?

brYan is still MIA... probably in jail or OD'ed by now... who knows. he may pop back up again.

M is gone. since i lost my job back in april, i decided to get rid of the M. picked up a genesis 2.0t in july. brand new car with 100k warranty and saves me $350 a month

I'm now working for vbseo (the search engine software we use here), plus doing some freelancing for a couple local web firms (over-flow, etc). Money is tight, but i'm getting by with all my bills up to date. Just not spending much at all. I used to blow over a G a month on just day-to-day living. last month i spent $178, which includes my food and gas for the month.

    injen is still gay.

clayton has a blood clot in his leg.

Ouch, sucks about the job. How did you lose it, economy or what?

I need to get a better computer chair. I was reading about that deep vein thrombosis, and one of the bad things is to have a chair that puts pressure on the back of your legs. The front edge of mine almost feels like it cuts off circulation sometimes after sitting too long.

So how's the Genesis? the 2.0 is the 4-banger? Turbo?

it was a long time coming... i just stopped caring about it and showed up when i wanted to.

I'm stress free, don't have to spend 2+ hours a day in a car, and i'm still meeting my bills. only downfall is i lsot health insurance. but, obama is going to fix that shortly. (rolls eyes)

the genny is a 2.0t 4. basically a raliart motor. i didn't want the v6. it makes more power, but its also a pig on gas, and heavier (more prone to understeer), plus, most of the aftermarket is on the 2.0t.

the 4 is rwd also, right? sounds like a hell of a car for the price.

I'm eyeing a couple rex's, so that may be my new toy :) I found an '85 si for $500 all original, needs paint, but it runs. It was my first car and I've always regretted selling that thing. I'm getting a little tired of driving high up in my jeep, and have been itching for something fun to drive again.

Don't think I remember you, but welcome back. I hear you on the first car thing. My first car (second one actually, my first was given to me and I got 200 trade in for it when I bought my first one, so I don't count it) was a 91 318i. I think once I get out of school and can afford more shit, i'm gonna look for another e30, but I'll step it up to the 325. just sentimental I guess. Good luck with the photography, and the bicycle business. I get the feeling were gonna start looking more and more like china, so you may just ride the wave.

Thanks for the compliments. I can see the progression from my old stuff that I wouldn't even post on flickr. I could still find a million things wrong with my current ones, but if I could judge by the comments people make, then they seem to be ok. It's a damn expensive hobby though. Luckily I started with a Minolta, which has quite a few very nice lenses from their film days in the 80's and 90's that can be picked up used. Also everything is compatible with the Sony dslr that I got earlier this year.
