    I'm still amazed when people run RWD cars shooting for 10's and don't put wheelie bars on them.

    depending on the class, such as SFWD, wheelie bars are not allowed.

    but if they require a chute and cage, shouldn't a wheelie bar be accepted/encouraged?

    nope. it adds an advantage to launching/etc, it's not really about safety

    wow. just wow. i get it. it's dumb. but i get it.

    I suppose the goal is that teams should be testing so they dont' face that problem.
