somethings wrong with my vtec

im not sure what it is i thought it might be my clutch but im not sure,when i get up into 5grand rpms my vtec seems to not kick in at all... and everyonce in a while the car wont pull the same is it usually does it just kinda goes, not very much power at all... any suggestions i need help with this asap

it could be due to lack of oil, since the VTEC system in hondas, so check your oil levels, i had the same problem once, it was not enough oil getting to the unit and making it work right, if it STILL does it after that you might wanna take off your vtec solenoid and or check and see if it works right.
