I'd have to go with a Trinitron tube. Sony or not. Sony doesn't have the Trinitron patent anymore. Find a Black Diamond Trinitron tube in ANY product and go with that, no matter the brand.

My friend says that every mainstream Sony product he's ever owned died within a year. Toshiba all the way.
