yea, I just listened to it. Sounds like shit to me, and i know the idle isn't supposed to be all fucked up like that.

Im not sure as to if it should or should not lope, but I think its ok.

I want the lope.

I have a set of 403's ready for my LS, but I may sell them to get 404's for $310 shipped!!!!

Here is the best argument of why these cams are so bad ass for a b18b or b20

The following is a freinds dyno of his b18b with 404s. The one line with the higher peak is the HP curve of a tuned however pretty stock ITR, the other is his.

dyno_hpitr.jpg

Now his trq vs the ITR's trq.

dyno_tqitr.jpg

Although the ITR had higher peak numbers, his almost mild setup (only has cam gears, milled head for compression, springs and retainors, eManage, TINY exhaust, and 3inch intake) made up to 20hp more then the tuned ITR at some points. Remember, Its all about the area under the curve, not just peak numbers.

And I will remind you, the idle is not as bad as in the video, and the car is extremly streetable.

I never said 404's don't make power I was only talking about that car

I forget. Was he running stock pistons? What was his compression?

Very nice. I appreciate you posting that. I want 404's but I got deal on the 403's I couldnt pass them up. I may end up trading the 403's for some 404's. Or just buying the 404's out right.

Yea, he (StyleTEG) was running stock pistons.

Here is his list of what he had done to it

In the head itself I simply have the 404s, and the crower valvespring/retainer kit. The only other modification to the head was milling it by .018" in order to bump up the compression to roughly 9.5:1. My main goal was to keep the crank pressure as close to stock as possible (and not over-cam the engine).

The rest of the major modifications are
DC 4-2-1 POS Header
3" Shortram intake pipe, filter w/ velocity stack
2.25" comptech catback, with bottleneck removed
2.25" testpipe.
B&M FPR @ 43psi
Greddy E-manage
Cam gears were set at +1.5,+1.5 to compensate for the milling, so essentially it was like running at 0,0

His thread over on Team-integra.net)

I am not sure if they allow non members to view stuff of not, but click and try.

He is no longer running that exact setup because he had oil starvation at Gingerman and spun a bearing in that LS. He then bought a JDM b20 with the higher compression (9.6:1 I think) Not sure if he has thrown the 404's on that yet. Last time I checked he was waiting to pnp a head that he had.

Interesting. That much power on that compression.

Eventually he wants to build the bottom end of the b20, but right now FREAK b20 (he had it dynoed with zero mods and made almost exactly the advertised CRANK horsepower to the wheels

That my friends is inspiration, at least to me.

that thing sounds like a harley or something....
sounds like shit to me, and yea he does have a valve tap, that guy probably didnt adjust his valves when he put the cams in....
