I've done a lot of the reading on link to h-t and checked out the other information provided. Now that I know that would be the best gap and what not, does anyone really see the benefit to running iridium plugs or are they just hype? Thanks.

iridium plugs are hype well sort of see iridium is a dirivative (spell) of platinum but the whole thing is that the plugs are just plated in iridium cause to make a fully iridium plug one plug would cost like 3000 dollars the plating is more conductive and more durable but if you gap the plug you just scrapped off the plating and turned a 15 dollar plug into a 99 cent plug so if you buy them don't gap them in the normal manner gap them by pulling on the base of the tip by the shell (the threaded part) to enlarge the gap and that way you do not scrape the plating off and to shorten the gap just tap it on a flat surface gently ofcourse so you can buy them if you want cause they're are some benefits just be a little more careful with them
