specifically what would create the large amount of blow by in the motor besides the rings could it be the pcv system and the crankcase vent system

and the little bit of smoke that smells like gas only when you give it gas

i thought ring to but i did the compression test and got around 150lbs on each cylinder
the motor has about 50,000 miles on it but the last guy blew the head pretty good and stopped up the pcv system

did someone do the head work or did you buy it brand new like that. Either way, I've seen plenty of bad machine and head work so it's not entirely unlikely that it's still valve seals.
