Speedometer help needed

Ok, I got the car running and moving....BUT.....now my speedo isn't working. I took the cable back out and put it back into the tranny again....but it still doesn't work. It all worked fine before the swap. Please help!!!!!!

do you have a CEL coming on?

No CEL is coming on. The cable seems to be tight. I'm going back under the car today to see if it's in all the way or not.

try spinning the cable by hand and have someone look at the speedo.. if its moving then cable's not broken or anything.. then its just a matter of getting that cable into the tranny all the way.. make sure you use that locking clip. If it's in all the way you should not be able to pull the cable out... it'll be locked in. I had to do it 2 weeks ago.. it's a bitch to do.
