well first of all i have a 88 crx si, and i just changed the tranny myself. i got the tranny from a hatchback 88-91 im not sure what year it was but the motor in the hatch was a d16a6. so i assumed that the tranny was the same, am i right...? now would the speedometer cable work with that tranny or not? thanks for any help you can give me.

i dont see why it wouldnt work.. i put an ls in my crx and didnt have to replace spedo cable also my brother had a zc, then upgraded to a b16 in his hatch and never had to change the spedo either... if it doesnt work make sure its pluged all the way in if that doesnt work buy a new one or a used one from a junkyard. i paye $12 for mine and it works fine, there not too hard to instal takes about 30 mins or so, make sure you rout it the right way you dont want any sharp bends
