Spider Identification

    Found this sucker in front of my garage door tonight. Never seen one this big in the wild around here. Anyone have a clue what it is? I'm thinking wolf spider.

    I would say it is a wolf spider due to the color and markings.

    yep definitely looks like its a wolf spider

    they are non aggressive and will generally not bite a human unless provoked

    if bitten their poison has little to no effect on humans and the only real issue is the actual puncture of the bite itself which will swell slightly and hurt for about 10 minutes

    The bottom of that cup is probably just over 2 inches in diameter.

    definitely a wolf spider

    beautiful specimen too

    send it back out to the garage or outside to keep your area free of less desirable insects
