Splicing wires

putting a 98 LS into 97 Civic, using stock wiring harness. looks like some wires need to be lengthened (or maybe i just need to re-position the harness). anyways, i hate electrical stuff, so whats the best way to add new plugs on/lengthen wires?

soldering/butt connectors/(obviously not merely twisting and covering with electrical tape!)

The best way is to strip about 1/2 an inch of insulation off of each end, slide a piece of heatshrink over one of the wires, far back from the splice, twist the wires together so that they make a smooth wire (not like a tie wrap, rather like end to end), solder the splice (hold soldering iron on the bottom of the splice and hold the solder against the top, this will draw the solder through the wires and make the best bond) then slide the heat shrink over the splice once it cools and using a heat gun or hair dryer, shrink the heat shrink and you're done.
