Post up what rpm you hit full boost at, what turbo you have, and what engine ya got.

I got a Garrett t3 .42/.48, on a sohc (not on car yet!)

I had a t28 full boost @ 3500 on my old car...

and as I told ya as ur close would be more than happy to help ya out with some of the work u need on ur car

turbonetics t3/t4 60 trim. .57ar d16y8 starts spooling at 3200rpms, hits full boost arround 5900rpms and is at 18psi

Hmm, Guessing off of your cars... I should hit full boost (7pounds) at like 2700-3000? What you guys think?

ok, then how much of the spool time is determined by the psi setting vs the physical charistics of the turbo or vice versa?

t3/t67 (to4s)
84mm gsr,
out of vac/boost border around 3800
10psi ~5000
28 psi around 5500
quickly let off because the boost controller wasn't working :D

you need a new project car. sell the truck and build something fun. i want to see another 100 page build thread.

Sorry, NOOB here. How do I get my turbo to boost quicker? It just says turbo t3/t4 .60 I have a 10lb spring in it but it doesn't start to boost till around 3500 and I don't hit full boost till about 5500 or more rpm's. I would love it to kick in quicker or just buy a better turbo. Any suggestions??

Yea, I wasn't happy with the power output on the .42/.48 but I loved how quick it spooled, so I upgraded the compressor housing to a .60. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Like t3t4 said, smaller turbo or build a hybrid turbo like I did.

the b18b1 + t3/t4 60 made 6.5psi @2800rpm, 10psi @ 3250 - 4000 all depending on throttle %. whenever i pick out a new snail for the new setup, ill let ya know how it runs. trying to find a good setup for the b16--thinking i need something a bit smaller if i dont want big lag. maybe a custom hybrid. we'll see......

Yeah, I got mine on, and it spools at 2500rpm...got to love that. Where do I find the 60ar housing? I am only running 5pounds untell I get tuned.
