still showing idle controll valve code

    i swaped t las motor but the odb2 was ecu was throwing the icv code , i just did the odb1 convert and it is still throwing the icv. i even cleaned the icv with carb cleaner , along with the icv. Can anyone help ???

    Did you reset your ECU? Yank the fuse, or disconnect the battery.

    i put a new ecu in and it stillg ives me the same code

    Thats a wiring problem.

    First check and make sure the A12 and A14 are jumped together on the obd2 to obd1 conversion harness.

    Second, check continuity on the IACV signal wire (black/blue) with a multimeter, Check from IACV connector to ECU connector obviously.

    Do both these things correctly and you will find your problem.
