i have a plain gsr motor andsome b16 pistons laying around in good condition. i wanted to know if i was to put them in will they work and how much compression will it raise me up to.

ls/b16 pistons do not fit gsr/itr/ctr rods without modification and vice versa.

and why wouldn't it fit? i know that gsr, itr, and ctr wont fit the ls or b16 rods due to the rod head size being bigger but i dont think he will have a problem puting them on since its the opposite. aftermarket pistons have plenty of room between the piston and the rod so what would be the problem?

they flop around too much

so what will i have to do to make them work good?

11.9:1. Going to upgrade the cams? You'll need to to realize much out of that compression ratio.

i think its 11.4:1 , not 11.9:1

I've been reading compression ratios for a couple of days trying to pick out mine and if the sources I've read are correct the b16 pistons are going to offer the highest compression ratio besides the CTR's. I'm going off of the few who have done the math as the cspeed calc is supposedly off.

it depends on which b16 pistons you use.

pr3's will net you 11.374456157496324

p30's will net you 11.59960326572453

both on stock gsr motors with gsr head and stock headgasket. from c-speed's comp calculator

well, i'm thinking 11.4:1.

i'm going to put some b16 pistons in a few weeks when my bearings are getting replaced. hope it makes a difference.
