    dude's a moron for not getting a title/etc with the car and checking the vin himself. i have no pity for stupidity.

    i actually just read most of the thread. absolutely nothing happened.

    guy trades his sti for the jeep
    jeep comes up stolen, cops take it away
    insurance claims jeep and is never seen again (references to being auctioned)
    *insert wild speculation of every kind from the internet*
    guy wants to get his sti back, but cant cause its now legally owned by the old jeep owner
    bank pays off the loan for the jeep (apparently via their insurance) so the OP isnt into it anymore.
    OP is out the money he put into the car (says 30k, seems high) and money paid on top for the jeep + taxes.
    case closed really, OP *might* go after jeep owner in civil court.

    That thread is so hard to read, apparently Subaru owners aren't big fans of using spelling and/or grammar; even moreso than the rest of the internet.
