Hey guys , i was doing a coolent flush on my 91 civic hatchback today and took out the threded drain plug on the front of the block. Yeah it striped....great.....anyway , what would you suggest to be the best way to fix it? There is no visible threds left in the block and very shallow/mashed threds on the bolt. I was thinking jb weld it back in but that's pretty crude.... tap new threds? any suggestions would be awesome , thanks in advance.

BTW are the d15b2 blocks cast or aluminum? i always thought they were cast but it really looks like aluminum?
