Which do myou think is best.
    hp wise lol

Was thinking about putting the full crower stroker kit in my b18 but cant decide if i want to turbo it instead i know you cant do both because the compression ratio would be off the charts...

So what do you think.. and you what do you think.... this isnt one of those questions where i want someone to spoon feed me what i want to know just a personal opinion kinda thing.... dont tell me to go do my research lol its just a poll... thanks guys

me personally leaning towards the stroker kit.

Go with boost. All motor builds are a great way to spend $10K and only make 200 at the wheels, just not worth to me.

Turbo > All motor. Boost. Is. Always. Better.

If you're looking for HP, boost. you'll be happier. HOWEVER, I'll just chime in with my 2 cents, if you want a very torqey (sp?) and very quick revving motor with great throttle response and no turbo lag, that crower kit might be up your alley. I'm looking at the same kit simply because I think I might like it more coming out of turns and whatnot on the track. I just don't have 2k to blow on it!

However, there's no one saying that you can't use both the stroker kit and the turbo. Yeah, it'd be expensive, but you'd have a killer motor. Just get very low compression pistons (I'm sure wherever you buy them from can help you find appropriate pistons), and make sure you get a GOOD tune from a GOOD shop! Hope you caught my emphasis on "GOOD".

Turbo. The only reason I could justify buying a stroker kit is for the stronger crank. Somethin tells me though, your not tryin to make 800 horse which means youd be throwin your money away on that stronger crank. Just put pistons, rods, and ARP in your block with OEM bearings, boost it, and enjoy.

If you like that low end grunt, slap a little dsm turbo on there. T25 or somewhere around there, that'd spool really quick and give you some low end power.

If you don't want it a dog off of boost you could do what I did. I took a B16A, under drive pulleys, puck clutch, Alum flywheel, bored and ported manifolds, and throttle body, ported head with GSR cams, ARP head bolts and added a T3/T4 turbo 57 trim I chipped and using a wide band I tuned it to 10 psi on pump gas. It run's extremely well and is razor sharp to throttle. I don't drag race but I get roll on's all the time for people trying me. I am very happy with how it came out.

I would suggest not to use the T25 turbo, it does spool very fast but will run out of air on the top end fast, make sure you correctly match your engine to turbo size for what you want to do.

If hes not tryin to make a lot of power up top, and wants a nice torque curve then the T25 would be a good match.

BC kits allow you to pick your compression. If you intended on doing both that is.

But yea would like to apologize to everyone for being a dick especially brutal, chaz everyone that gave me negative rep lol...

Would that be safe... I know a stroker kit will raise the compression ratio because it will use a bigger crank and adding a turbo will raise the compression even more. Is there such thing as too much compression, without having to spend 10k in gaskets, rings and other shit.

I can't lie to ya, if you buy good stuff, turbocharging is expensive.

If I were you, I'd sleeve the B18, get a decent set of pistons/rods, use OEM bearings, seals, etc. and get a peakboost kit, tune it on CROME, call it good. You'll be satisfied.

Compression has to do with the pistons. A stroker kit raises displacement, not compression. But a stroker kit PLUS a turbo kit may run in the neighborhood of $10k when all is said and done.

The storker kit is like $2000 alone, for that much I would just piece together my own kit and get a good tune on like 7lbs, walk all over the same car with the stroker kit, and still have money left over.:D
