Really, its kind of a toss up. I wouldn't know which one to choose, but if it came down to it, I'd probably take the subaru, just because it doesn't come with alteeza's.

While you're at it... add the WRX back in as another option and move one vote (mine) from the STi to the WRX. I like the bugeye 02-03 WRXs over the body style now, and the hideous 20 foot wing on the STi scares me. :p

I'd get the Evolution. It was listed by Car and Driver tests as the "more fun" car. Besides the STI doesnt even come with a radio. Yeah, I know, decks are only around 300 bucks but whatever. :spin:

you seriously think the wrx has more aftermarket support? im sorry but i dont agree with that at all... the evo has been out longer [in japan] and has the same platform it pretty much always has

so i think the EVO has more japanese AND US aftermarket support by far

Subby all the way, I think it is more reliable.

I mean come on, how many Mistubishi's smoke????

Subaru's run forever! I had a 99 Legacy GT sedan, gave it hell and loved it.

(EVO) computer controlled LSD >>> mechanical Helical LSD (STi)

EVO is the better deal IMO. it corners better than the STi, and with one or two mods, it'll have 300 hp/tq as well. But the Altezzas are still ugly, and I like the bug eye WRX look better anyway.

    WRX WRX WRX!!

only those shitty talon/eclipse owners who dont take care of their cars do, and fuck those losers that deal with crankwalk.

proven through and through, the evo has always been much of the same, just refined again and again. as i dont agree with the current bodystyle... the rest of the car is pretty sound.

<~~~ as a mitsu owner i will be the first to tell you at 140k strong and full compression i redline all day long without even the slightest puff of any smoke. then again if need be, i can easily plop in the spare engine im rebuilding to hold up to 400whp in the spring.

note: the fastest usdm 4g mirage on the planet runs an 11.3 second pass. its the coupe (like mine) and has the EVO 2 GSR AWD bolted on... yes BOLT ON (but you need to use a awd 1g eclipse driveshaft)... and a 1G DSM 4g63t engine. hes only pushing just over 350hp. daily driver.
