STi fo 'sho, EVO VIII is total crap looks-wise. Aside from a spoiler that's too high, it looks like any other late 90's luxury car.

and then, the sti came out... and i've never liked subaru... the style just isn't there for me...

and now, i'm glad i didn't go ahead and get one. cuz for 35 grand, i could have a fat down payment on a house, and still have a boosted sol and a 240.

I was coming close to trading my truck in for the evo. Thank god I didn't get what I wanted for the truck and backed out. The evo was cool, except for the tail lights. I would rather get an m3 for 13k or more less than the evo and still have a sweet car.

Well, STI for me. I liked the Evo also though, I like how the hood scoop actually realeases the hot air from the engine, or so I have heard. But the bigger displacement that comes out of the STI makes me want that instead. It is really a toss up for me though.

Well, we already have an STi in the garage, so I guess I'd want to get an Evo.

now that i read Calesta's post that does make alot of sense... i have an EVO already, why should i be biased and want another? i change my vote to STi since i already got the EVO

even tho i like the wrx and would prolly get one before the evo i would have agree that the evo is a better car to modify. the evo has basically a fully built engine and is capable of high boost without internal mods. all you need to do is upgrade the fuel system and tune, unlike the wrx (which is still capable of higher boost levels just not as high) plus the wrx tranny is shite from what i hear. but if i had to choose which to buy i would pick the wrx cause i like the interior and it comes with more hp stock, and i know i wouldn't be moddin it soon because if the high (for me) price tags of both.

The poll was intended to refer to the STi, not the normal WRX. You can't really compare the non STi WRX to the Evo... the STi has an almost bulletproof transmission, and can handle quite a bit more boost than stock.

They are coming out with a stripped down version of the Evo next year. It will not have a spoiler, will do without a lot of the creature features, weigh less, and have the same power, all for about 27000.

Also, the tail lights swap with the lancer.
All red >>>>>>>>> factory rice.


The STi is nice, looks alot better but the car just comes up short with handling compared to the EVO

Yeah it's called the Evolution RS. It'll have a helical LSD so it'll feel tighter in the corners. I just read about it last night.
