what do you guy think about this going in a 1988 crx si
What are the pros and cons?
apart from cable to hydro tranny conversion and motor mounts what else will i need?
the only thing the seller said was missing from the motor was the wire harness and spark plug wires. i presume the tranny is in a corner somewhere

thanks :)

Sounds fun. But holy wheelspin, Batman. The supercharger is going to give you a butthole full of torque all the time and the power will always be there, which can be a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Pro: Lots of nice power
Con: Spinning like you finishing off a bottle of Tequila

If your looking to impress people with your ability to roast tires, your headed in the right direction.
:burnout:

Why do people ask a question like: "Is it worth it"... I mean come on. of course the B18C1 alone is worth it... with a SC, oh man batman wake up and smell the coffee...

Sorry, just noob questions get me all worked up...

Again Im sorry. And yes its worth it... more than worth it.

Cable To Hydro - go to http://hasport.com about $350-400
Mounts - go to http://hasport.com - about $400
Wiring Harness - use your stock harness add wires needed. Or send your harness to http://ardperformance.com

ECU - PR3 OR PW0 (88-91 SIR CRX)
About the Hydro tranny, you can use any b series tranny on the GSR engine. So there ya, use a cable tranny.

Sell the Hydro tranny and buy a b16 SiR tranny. It has better gearing and it is cable too :D.

[edit] You will also need some kind of engine management so you should look into getting Hondata and getting it tuned (which is about $1000)[/edit]

or if you dont want to waste your money get uberdata or turboedit .. anyways you didn't get the engine so this thread is useless .. but for you question ... of course it is worth it .. have you been living in a cave?

i would not say that hondata is a "waste".

supercharger= constant power and torque turbo= more power ability untrustworthy torque do to turbo lag i say go turbo with a small shot of nitrous to shorten turbo lag plus the psssshh from the b.o.v is so kool lol!!! but thats just my opinion either way any forced induction is worth it

i am actually getting this set up this weekend.
But i am wondering if i am getting it too cheap...Anyway i will try and get as much reciepts as possible and make sure i am not being ripped off
by the way $2600 including the hondata ecu. Will i need a lap top for it to be tuned?
The guy also said he ran a 13 flat with the 7 lb s/c pulley in his gsr. I am putting it in a crx with the 10 lb pulley. So go figure...Holy wheel spin batman??? :D
let me know what you guys think
ps. 68k on motor 14 k on the build up
