just helping a friend out. does anyone have any ideas on how much fuel pressure should be at idle, how much boost is average, and how timing is set on a 97 honda prelude w/h22 vtec. my friend just bought this car with the jackson racing supercharger and is losing to a bone stock 94 prelude. the only difference between the 2 cars is the 94 is standard and the 97 is auto, but still cant catch the 94 at top end. any info to help this guy out is much appreciated.

40 psi is normal fuel pressure...might wanna up it to around 50ish for the jrsc.

how many pounds of boost is he running? supercharger rob your engine of alot of power just to make power. in order to gain, you must lose it first and if he's using like a 5 or 6 pound pully then chances hes probably only making no more than maybe 15 or 20 more horsepower.

as far as fuel presssure is concerned i would MOST DEFINATELY up the fuel pressure unless you have an aftermarket fuel pump like a WALBRO or something it should be at least around 50 or 53. most stock hondas run about 40-42 psi

well at idle, the fuel pressure is around 18-20psi. when it revs it increases. what do you think this guy needs to make more power? he had a venom 400 module but disconnected that cause the car got slower with it connected. the car came with a jr fpr, and some other mngmt system from jr. anyother idea would help thanks guys.

up the fuel pressure, it is WAAAY too low. it needs to be around 40-50

the venom 400 does suck, just use jrsc's tuning box and correct fuel pressure and you should be ok.
