What makes up a complete suspension set-up? and are coilovers 2 things in one, and if they are, what are they?

dampeners
strut bars
sway bars
tie bars
anything that stiffens the chasis
theres lots of other shit that i cant think of right now that would be part of the cars suspension system
but you get the idea
as for coilovers and what they consist of
it depends what you are refering to
a true coilover consists of both the spring and dampener... sometimes you will get the upper mount (pillowball) as well.... some are adjustable some are not
the slip on "coilovers" are just a spring with an adjustable perch so you can set it to your own ride height
