i've got the opportunity to buy a b16a swap for 1000 bucks. it's from a 95 civic from japan so does that mean it's obd1 or 2? also, the transmission has a bad reverse so i'll have to replace it. is it worth the money? any pointers for swapping the motor and everything into my car?
 
Its going to be OBD1. Also if it has a bad reverse that is going to take some work, its probably just a synchro, but still, I don't really think its worth it. Especially if it is just the engine and transmission.
 
nah dude it's not just the the engine and tranny. it's the whole swap. axles, ecu, harness, linkage, blah blah blah. i'll prolly just pull the tranny out of my friends gsr.
 
you should put an ls tranny on it. it has taller gears than the B16 tranny
