Im not good with hondas yet. Can you tell me will the transmission off my d16y8 work with a B20. If not what transmission will work. And how hard will the swap be?

What is the best motor for general purpose use still give me decent gas mileage and a little more pep.

The local tuner shop has these engines in stock what would be the best one to get.

Not the type r motors lol. Can afford them i wish. Looking to stay around $1500 or so.

at least not easily or directly without use of an adapter plate
you will want to look for a B series transmission


a B20 is fine for general use

Thanks for the info you have any suggestions on which transmission to get. I mean im not trying to build a race car. But i do want the car to be pretty fast. My buddy has a b20 with gsr head turboed pretty fast!!!

best for all around use would be a GSR trans

close enough low gears to accellerate quickly long enough high gears to maintain reasonable MPG on the highway
