What year is you civic? If you have a '92 of any trim level, it's already wired for VTEC up to the engine harness itself. The answer is yes you can but it will be tight. I did that swap also, and used the DX engine harness. I was also able to run the VTEC wiring through the harness loom into the cannon plugs, thus avoiding a hackjob of hardwiring to the ECU. The only thing I hard wired was the knock sensor, which I couldn't find a pin out for. If you have any questions or didn't understand how I explained it just PM me.

I think you are asking if it is hard to wire-up the VTEC, no it is not.
    http://hondaswap.com/general-tech-articles/how-wire-vtec-40811/
there is a artical on how to do it,

what ECU will you be running, that is important becuase diffrent ECU's have diffrent pinouts for VTEC, VTEC oil pressure. here is the link for that
http://hondaswap.com/reference-materials/ecu-pinouts-28667/ on this link it provides a pick of the pinpoints on the diffrent OBD ecus

all of this has been taken from the Ref. section of hondaswap
