here...i will post dyno results of a skunk2 chipped p28.
notice, 144, 104.8. this is with an otherwise stock setup, running rich as hell getting 16-18mpg.

here is a p61 (92-93GSR) vs a skunk2 chipped p28.
notice, the lack of midrange compared to the p28...thats because the p28 advances the timing like crazy and runs out on the top end. ie 150 vs 142.

here is a chart of the p30.
look at the even power curve...etc...

here is a look at all 3 ecu's...back to back to back.

conclusion, with a stock b16a the P30 easily outperforms the other ecu's.

is this unexpected?

of course not, honda knows exactly what they're doing!!!!!

honda knows everything, their engineers are fucking intelligent!

pissedofsol my ID# is 37820-P30-900

and below it is 471-105922, thanks sol

That's an Automatic ECU.

According to this it is a manual.

You sir, are WRONG. it the second to last number is a 5, it's a auto

Sure I'm wrong.

Let's see......

I work on computers all day long, and you don't.

900 and 901's are automatic ecu's.

Let me ask a question to the OWNER of the P30-900 ecu.

1- are you getting a check engine light when you use this ecu on a manual car? Is it code 19?

2- is this P30 a short box or long box?

3- is your redline like 7800 rpm?

We'll see who is right and who is wrong.

Here's my guess - Yes, the ecu is tossing a code 19, which is the auto trans lockup solenoid. (Clue #1) and the ecu is a short box version, probably a JDM ecu (Clue #2). I'm guessing you bounce the redline under 8000 rpm (Clue #3)

The JDM ecu's don't have a A51 or A52 in their part numbers on the P30's. Their automatics are P30-900 and P30-901.

But you guys already knew that, and I'm just an arrogant a-hole for bringing this to your attention, RIGHT?? <_<

are the long p30 900 and 901's automatic? or the short ones?? or all of them???

the 2nd to last number trick always worked for me...

It is a short box and my rev limiter is somewhere around 7800 either that or my tach is off.

its an aoutmatic to my knowledge but however i must diss agree with the p28 thing yes stock for stock nothing out performs the p30 however when you are reprogramming(chipping an ecu it really doesnt matter which box you start with as long as you are not using the so called blue light special chippes. we can even use a p06 automatic ecu and make it a 5 speed dohc 1.6,1.8,2.0,2.2 programmed ecu. but if you want a fat ass management system then just plug in an APEXi POWER FC with the hand held programmer.
