I was told two things about this turbo...
1) It won't hold boost over 6psi for very long
2) at 141hp, it won't let me hit my target of 200hp

Can some expert set me straight?
 
aren't t25's on the eclipses/talons? because if it's the same one they run I believe 7 psi stock. and can be pushed to like 14 or 16. you can go to 20 but it'll die very quickly
 
whoever told you thats an idiot. theyre internally gated at 7 psi stock and dont start to really fall of til like 16 psi i believe. you should reach that fairly easily
 
I'm only looking for 8-9psi in hopes that will hit my 200hp goal, or close too.
Do you think its' sufficient? Should I try and nab a t28?
 
it will make your power, but it won't hold it. ie, you'll have power from 2-5, but 5-7 k rpm, it will basically hit a wall and lose power.

i'd go with at least a t28 if not a small t3

eclipses have LOW compression 8.5:1 and have a much lower redline. The way it acts on your motor is MUCH different than the way it acts on the 4g63
 
7k seems a little high for a DSM. I was pretty sure those cars make max HP at ~6-6250 RPMs.
 
d15b goes to 7200, i only take it to 68-7 incase if lol...
cant wait for the snail so I can get a proper tune
