just wondering if i was crazy, but it seems like my DOHC vtec is at higher rpms during normal driving, than the sohc non vtec. is this normal? like at 100 mph, i am in 5th gear and around 6k rpm... where as the sohc non vtec motor at 100mph was at 5k rpm. could it be my tach is off?

Completely differnt transmissions man. That's pretty much about right, at 100mph I am right around 5800rpms.

with my d15 bottom end and d16 head, i'm at like 100 in 3RD GEAR at 5k! (with the longest gear ratios ever) the cx tranny sucks my ass that's why i'm getting a ex/si tranny

yah i had a vx and my 3rd gear would get just over 100 at 6k rpms, 5800 in 5th gear seems kinda high though, idk
