You would have to pass BAR first. You can have the cleanest burning engine ever, but if it does not meet the regulations then its a no go.
Again.. There are ways to pass. I live in CA, i've been through it all. I had my del sol track car smogged, registered with no cat, no egr, no evap, no bar sticker for the swap, tuned with full roll cage and no seat belts (only harness).

I am sure it can be done. It just wont be easy like it is in fla.

Hit me up via pm re: this ^^.

OK so progress was good but didn't get as far as I wanted. :(

The tranny bolted on fine but later found out the level does not feel like it engages all the way.
It travels half way and feels like it's hitting something in side. Weird since it worked fine when I replaced the bearing and engaged good before bolting it up.
never checked it before putting it in the car....either way no worries.

Once it's time to install traction bars I should have the wiring done and can simply drop the tranny from the bottom to check.

Also, the rear T bracket was the wrong one and was the cause of a 1 hour delay. It pushed the motor to far forward so as of now only the sides are mounted for wiring. Weird since it seemed like it was the right one.

after it went in....HOLY crap the car sat low!

As of right now I'm using a TYPE R manifold.
Exhaust manifold will be an RMF 4/2/1......

I'm gonna hold off on putting the intake mani simply becuase it makes wiring and working on the important stuff so much easier!

OK.
I need help.....

Does anyone have a wiring breakdown of an OBD1 engine harness?
Most of the plugs i can tell by memory but I would like a nice reference guide.

I'm looking to use an OBD2 harness to work with the OBD1 Crx.

any ideas?

still there. some of them still labeled but as you can see they are all seperated and I feel the need to start over.....

All the sensors should be the same except for the OBDII injector clips (cut and replace OBD0 ones for the OBDII ones), distributor plugs (pin in your OBDII plug I saw in a picture), alternator plug (if its an OBDII alternator), then basically use the ECU jumper harness instructions to wire in VTEC and the 4 wire 02 sensor. ;)

yeah the motor is OBD2 ready and the car is OBD1. so far i've been reading about the Alternator conversion and injector clips. just wanting to make sure I'm familiar with the plugs, colors, purposes etc. before i go diving head first.

Andrew did all of the hard work i just need to re-route the wiring to make it more like the wire tuck link i sent you.

OK. I realized one important thing...
I HAVE NO TOOLS!!!!

i went and bought some goodies to get me through the build. Not bad at all actually.
$100 bucks for the tool kit and I got a $10 gift card so i used it on a solder kit for my wire tuck.
