I think I busted the LSD in my ITR tranny :(
I want to know if it is worth fixing, so I dropped it.
Now I have all the 12mm bolts surrounding the case out, but the case won't come apart!
I pryed it open, but it still feels like it is connected somewhere.
Any ideas besides taking it to a shop and having them look?
DIY forever...

did you take out the square plug/screw thing?

yea, you have to take that out and then there is a snap ring that you have to expand and you will hear the counter shaft fall from it's position.

What tool can I use to get that "square plug thingy" off? Are talking about the one that drains the tranny, or the big square one at the end of the countershaft?

i have no idea but doesn't a large ratchet fit in there?
i;m not talking the 3/8 drain plug either...

you got some guts ripping an ITR tranny down, ESPECIALLY without a manual...
you = insane
