I just picked up a 1990 CRX and i'm trying to find out more information about it. the car looks to have had an engine or head swap. does anyone have any insight on this. I'm new to these cars, so i don't know much about them. Can anyone tell me the value of a car like this.

The motor is a B18B1 from a 96+ Integra RS/LS/GS. It's a pretty decent engine for a car that size. It also looks to be lowered and the rims are certainly after-market. The body is somewhat rough though, and the Z3 fenders aren't exactly in style anymore, so don't expect it to be worth a whole lot. I'd say probably $2,500, 3 grand tops...

    Its teal
    has wheels
almost a full tank of gas
Has 2 resistor boxes under the hood
theres a jumper harness on the passenger seat likely from obd0-1, maybe 0-2
    probably an abandoned wiring nightmare.
Either a DX or HF and it has SI seats 88/89
I think its either an 88 or 89, most likely 89

Could be a B18b1 or a1 with a newer valve cover, just need the engine code off the block.
I wouldn't pay over 1500 for it around here since its not too popular in central PA. This all depends if it runs or not.

The car probably has a 1 wire O2, injectors meant for no resistor, and probably doesnt run

I just noticed it looks like the distributor is OBD0, so its probably running on an LS ecu.

it's a little gem if you can get it for $1000. i wouldn't pay much for it since it needs quite a bit of work.

yes the car does need some attention, but it really has no body issues(that we can see)clean it up real good, give it a vacuum job,,and throw some primer on it

Thanks for all the info, but this will not be my car after all. Story is the car was abandon and the owner of the property it is on, said i could have it. After dealing with the DMV and local service center that deals with abandon vihicles, there is no way of me getting a title for the car. The only thing i can do is have it towed to the service center and they will scrap it or deal with the original owner so they can clame it.

The only way i could own the car is to deal with the original owner, which isn't giong happen. This poor little car is going to the scrap yard.

don't let it go to the scrap yard. you could still get the engine and part it out. it would still be worth some money if you really wanted.

    take it!

take it apart and sell the engine or keep it for another car... youll have rims, an engine and EF mounts.

If you knew someone at a tow yard, they could do a "storage lien" on it and get a title for it. Well worth the money in the long run. Just the motor alone would easily pay for the costs of getting the title...

Or if you knew a small "mom and pop" mechanic place that was registered with the DMV, they could do a "mechanics lien" on it and get a title that way...

Either way, there is more than one way to skin a cat if you really wanted the car...
