Testing solenoid

Does anybody know how I would be able 2 test my vtec solenoid 2 see if it's working?

run a wire from it straight to the battery, just tap the wire to the hot post and see if its clicking

Okay I did it.. It clicked.. So if it's not hitting when I drive would it be wiring?

well it could be a few different things. are you throwing any check engine lights. ? and check your oil level

It was throwing a pressure sensor code when I got it tuned.. And the oil levels are fine..

well that code will make it not work

But we erased the code..

then it should be working if the code was fixed. what motor is it some sohc motors you cant hear or feel

It's from a d16z6.. But could my oil switch be bad?

Okay I might juss go buy a new oil switch.. And do you know the wiring diagram 2 wire in the vtec? Cause I had 2 wire mine in cause it's a dx model

as long as its to the right pin on the ecu it will be fine, search for the ecu pin out that your using
