The Beater CEL is on!

The beater(91 Civic Lx) has been throwing the CEL and i finally got around to checkin it out.The CEL does not come on immediatley,it comes on prob 10-15 mins down the road.
So this is what i have observed
-Turn the key to "on " position
-pulled carpet up and looked for the blinks.
-it did 3 blinks with a pause between each then after the 3rd blink it went right into a consecutive,no pause 15 blink rampage.

So is it a code 3 & 15? I want to make sure i am reading this correctly before i go looking for anything.
Is it something else and am i reading it wrong?

defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

Ignition Output Signal
missing or defective ignition output signal

does it have any symptoms besides the CEL?

is it auto?

are you sure it was 15 blinks with no pauses??
15 should be 1 long, then 5 short...

No other syptoms other then that CEL.It only comes on about 10-15 mins down the road.It is a 91 Civic Lx 5spd.
I am very sure it was 15 very fast,no pause blinks after the 3 long ones. I checked it 3x to be sure of what i was seeing. Those codes you came up with i found and checked the code 3 so far.I'll reset the ECU and take the car for a drive.

do you notice a change in power when the CEL comes on?

perhaps below 20 codes are not 1 long and 1-9 short...?

yes... double digit codes are 1 long, the rest short. Code 15 is somethine wrong with the diz... so... expect to be stranded in the future...
